The Everest Base Camp trek will give you a spectacular view of the world’s four highest peaks: Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Cho Oyu. The trek is one of the grandest walks that will take you through the lands of the high Himalayas. Experience the remarkable sightseeing, flora and fauna around the Sagarmatha National Park. You can also find the world class Buddhist monasteries during the trek.

And it’s also a trek of pride as Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off for this epic journey on 1953. With such historic value and thrilling sensation of the adventure, the Everest base Camp trek grips trekkers on seeing the power and grace of the mighty Everest up close. The best season for the trek is autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May).

TRIP DETAILS

Day 01: Arrival

Upon arrival to Kathmandu Airport, our representative will drop you to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla; Trek to Phakding (2652m) – 2 to 3 hours walk

We catch our early morning flight to Lukla, which is one of the most renowned mountain airstrip in the world. Upon reaching here, we have our lunch and trek our way to Phakding. Overnight at lodge/teahouse.

Day 03: Trek to Namche (3440m) – 4 to 5 hours walk

We start our trek to Namche with uphill climb. From here, you will catch the first glimpses of Mount Everest along with Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Namche is the gateway to Everest region and a major bazaar in Khumbu region. Everest Saturday a big market feast is held. Overnight at lodge/teahouse.

Day 04: Trek to Tengboche (3867m) – 5 to 6 hours walk

Our trail ascends allowing us to capture the magnificent views of Tengboche and surrounding mountains including Ama Dablam. We move ahead to reach Tengboche and visit the Tengboche Monastery. Overnight at lodge/teahouse.

Day 05: Trek to Pangboche (3985m) – 5 to 6 hours walk

Continuing the gradual ascent, we pass through Sherpa villages and arrive at Pangboche, where the Pangboche Monastery exists.  Overnight at lodge/teahouse.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4530m) – 5 to 6 hours walk

Eyeing on the beautiful views of Cholastse Mountain, we walk uphill to catch more stunning mountain views. Walking further, we arrive at Dingboche. Overnight lodge or camp.

Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4930m) – 5 to 6 hours walk

We climb up to the ridge and are mesmerized by the views of Tawoche and Cholatse throughout the way till we reach Lobuche. We tackle the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier and enter Lobuche. Overnight lodge or camp.

 

Day 08: Trek to Kala Pattar (5545m) and back to Lobuche – 7 to 8 hours walk

We trek along the rough path along the side of the Khumbu glacier to Gorakshep. Mount Pumori rises behind, which simply appears superb. We will observe the Everest Base camp and move ahead to Kala Pathhar. From here, all the peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam and more surrounds us. Enjoying our victorious moment, we trek back to Lobuche. Overnight at lodge or camp.

Day 09: Trek to Pheriche (4243m) – 5 to 6 hours walk

We walk to Pheriche via the moraine to Dughla and enjoy great views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the Amphu Laptsa, Cho Polu (a pretty Pyramid Peak) and Island Peak (the most climbed 6000m peak). Overnight at lodge or camp.

Day 10: Trek to Tawache (4388m) – 5 to 6 hours walk

Having our breakfast early morning, we walk to Tawache valley along the rhododendron forest and scanty Sherpa villages. Overnight lodge or camp.

Day 11: Trek to Namche (3445m) – 3 to 4 hours walk

Walking further from Tawache, we enjoy the trek to Namche, the most popular Bazaar in Khumbu region. Overnight at lodge or camp.

Day 12: Trek back to Lukla (2880m) – 6 to 7 hours walk

As we are almost near to the end of our trip, we catch in the final glimpses of the Khumbu hills and walk to Lukla. We enjoy our last night at Khumbu Region. Overnight at lodge or camp.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu

We enjoy the trans-Himalayan flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

 (Note: The above itinerary is a just a guideline. Itineraries are subject to change to suit the local conditions and other factors. At times the flights may either be delayed or even cancelled for a day or more, mostly because of bad weather. At such condition, we recommend our guests to have one extra day in Kathmandu post trek.)
