TRIP DETAILS
Day 01: Arrival
Upon arrival to Kathmandu Airport, our representative will drop you to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Jiri (1905m) – 6 to 7 hours drive
We drive through some typical Newar villages of Dhulikhel and Banepa and observe eye catching views of mountains like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal and Dorje Lakpa. Upon reaching Dolalghat, we can see blue sparkling Sunkoshi River. After few hours’ drive, we reach Jiri. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 03: Trek to Bhandar (2195m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
Walking through the Tamang villages to Kharubas Pass, we climb along rhododendron forest and move past some old water mills and mani walls. We then pass by a large Chorten and enter Chyangma, with some Tamang and Newar community. Further, we reach Bhandar. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 04: Trek to Sete (2576m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We walk through steep descent to Phedi, a small Chettri settlement and cross suspension bridge near kenja. We then walk marking the mani walls to the entrance of Sete, where the first Tibetan Buddhist monastery on the Everest trail exist. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 05: Trek to Junbesi (2675m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We climb Lamjura Pass first and then walk through rocky summits at the head of the Rolwaling Valley. Descending from here, we reach Thakdor and continue to Junbesi, where a school built by Sir Edmund Hillary, a chorten and a large monastery exists. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 06: Trek to Takshindu (2835m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We walk through the side hills traversing high above the next river valley to Solu. Continuing further, we reach Salung, a Sherpa village with small water-spun prayer wheels. We cross the Ringmo River and Takshindu pass (2988m). Dazzling views of Mount Thamserku and Kantega appears on our way to Takshindu. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 07: Trek to Kharikhola (2073m) – 4 to 5 hours walk
Descending to Manidingma, a Rai and Sherpa village, we continue our trail through mustard fields and forest areas. Further downhill walk takes us to Dudh Koshi valley and then to Jubing, a Rai village with Bamboo stands around its houses. Walking ahead we reach Kharikhola, where a colorful market can be observed every Wednesday. Overnight at camp or lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Puiyan (2603m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
Crossing a small river first, we climb to Kharte and walk through forest areas all the way to Kartedara. We can even see pheasant here. Descending from here, we reach Puiyan. Overnight at camp or lodge.
Day 09: Trek to Phakding (2591m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We now trek high above river with valley view along with the airport at Lukla. We reach Chaurikharka first and then reach Phakding. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 10: Trek to Namche (3440m) – 4 to 5 hours walk
We start our trek to Namche with uphill climb. From here, you will catch the first glimpses of Mount Everest along with Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Namche is the gateway to Everest region and a major bazaar in Khumbu region. Everest Saturday a big market feast is held. Overnight at lodge/teahouse.
Day 11: Trek to Thame (3801m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
Enjoying marvelous view of Kwangde Ri, our trails routes towards the bank of Bhote Koshi River. We cross the river and watch beautiful sights Thamserku and Kusum Kangru mountains. We then walk further to reach Thame, the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa who made the first ascent of Everest with Hillary in 1953. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 12: Trek to Khumjung (3791m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
Our trail drops to Khumjung and we pass by many Sherpa villages. In Khumjung, the Sherpa’s hospitality is sure to amaze you. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 13: Trek to Thyangboche (3863m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We can now see the dramatic views of Ama Dablam and Kantega along with Mount Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. We cross the Dudh Koshi at Phugithanga and climb to Thyangboche. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 14: Rest at Thyangboche
We rest at Thyangboche for acclimatization and explore the surrounding areas. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 15: Trek to Dingboche (4412m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
Following the path of Tengboche, we cross an exciting bridge over Imja Khola and a gentle walk from here takes us to Pangboche, the heart of Khumbu region allowing you to enjoy sutnning Ama Dablam views. We then reach Pheriche and then to Dingboche. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 16: Trek to Chukkung (4350m) – 2 to 3 hours walk
Even at this height, we can see the cultivated lands here. A gradual descend takes us to the corner of this settlement and we trek up to Imja Tse valley to Chukkung. Mount Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the Amphu Laptsa and Cho Polu appears stunning from here. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 17: Trek to Lobuche (4931m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We climb up to the ridge and are mesmerized by the views of Tawoche and Cholatse throughout the way till we reach Lobuche. We tackle the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier and enter Lobuche. Overnight lodge or camp.
Day 18: Trek to Kala Pattar (5545m) and back to Lobuche – 7 to 8 hours walk
We trek along the rough path along the side of the Khumbu glacier to Gorakshep. Mount Pumori rises behind, which simply appears superb. We will observe the Everest Base camp and move ahead to Kala Pathhar. From here, all the peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam and more surrounds us. Enjoying our victorious moment, we trek back to Lobuche. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 19: Trek to Phortse (3847m) – 5 to 6 hours walk
We descend through Pangboche and walk along the west bank of river to Phortse, another Sherpa village that lies on the lower southern flank of Tawache. Overnight at camp or lodge.
Day 20: Trek to Khumjung (3791m) – 4 to 5 hours walk
We descend through Dudh Koshi River and take a steady climb to a chorten. We can capture Thyangboche and its surrounding on our way. A walk along the giant rock pathway take us to Khumjung. Overnight at camp or lodge.
Day 21: Trek to Monjo (2835m) – 4 to 5 housr walk
We trek downhill to Monjo via green hills and illuminating mountain views. We are near to and end of the trek at this point. Overnight at camp or lodge.
Day 22: Trek back to Lukla (2880m) – 6 to 7 hours walk
As we are almost near to the end of our trip, we catch in the final glimpses of the Khumbu hills and walk to Lukla. We enjoy our last night at Khumbu Region. Overnight at lodge or camp.
Day 23: Fly back to Kathmandu
We enjoy the trans-Himalayan flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
(Note: The above itinerary is a just a guideline. Itineraries are subject to change to suit the local conditions and other factors. At times the flights may either be delayed or even cancelled for a day or more, mostly because of bad weather. At such condition, we recommend our guests to have one extra day in Kathmandu post trek.)
