Mustang is one of the mysterious and least known kingdoms of Nepal that lies in the rain shadow portion of the Himalayas. The kingdom is untouched by the modern civilization and is rich in distinctive tradition and culture. Mustang was formally annexed to Nepal in 1946 and it follows the complete Tibetan culture and character. Trekking to Mustang gives amazing views of barren landscape, discontinuous moraine terraces and spectacular mountain views of Dhaulagiri at 8167 meters and Annapurna I at 8091 meters. The trek starts and ends in Jomsom, which is the administrative district headquarters of Mustang.
